It's time to order your team sweatshirt, custom designed and voted on by the XC team! We will keep the order link open about 1 week so we can (hopefully) get our sweatshirts fairly early in the season! This year, click on the link below, choose your size, and pay Custom Ink directly online. The sweatshirts will be shipped to Coach and we will hand them out at practice as soon as they arrive! Go Cougars!! First, congratulations to all the athletes that competed in our home meet yesterday, especially those of you who completed your first cross country race. Third, this week's schedule, Monday 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM Mud Run and Mud Core: meet at the Kincaid Chalet Athletes should bring a penchant for getting muddy and a raincoat if conditions dictate. Parents that don't want a muddy car are advised to bring old towels or blankets when retrieving their student-athletes. Tuesday 5:30 - 7:00 PM Service Little Gym Wednesday 5:30 - 7:00 PM Service Little Gym: Captains will be determined Thursday 1st Day of School, Practice switches to 2:30 - 4 PM: Service Little Gym Friday Soldotna Overnight Trip 4:30 PM by the Service Little Gym. We will return on Saturday at approximately 7:30 PM: After smoke cancellation in 2019 and 2 yrs of Covid cancellation, the Soldotna overnight trip is back on! We will load onto the buses at 4:30pm and arrive at Soldotna High at around 8pm where we will have pizza and fun. Boys will sleep in the lower gym and girls in the upper gym with their chaperones. Bring a sleeping mat, sleeping bag, running and racing gear, and all other overnight essentials (Toothbrush?!). Athletes will have a cold breakfast at 8:30am, bus over to Skyview Middle School for the races, and bus back to Service with an estimated arrival time at the little gym of 7:30pm. All student-athletes and their parents are required to sign the overnight contract and turn it in to one of the coaches by Thursday, end of practice. As with all non-home meets, students are only allowed to leave the meet with a parent or legal guardian. Friend's parents are not allowed to drive you home per ASD rules.

Tent to/from Meet We are still looking for a volunteer (or volunteers) to bring/take the team tent to future meets. You need a large vehicle. Student athletes will muscle it out of and into your vehicle and transport it with the dolly to the team site at the meet you've offered to help out with. Spaghetti Feeds. For the 1st time ever, we still have availability to host a spaghetti feed. A shopper, (thanks Mr. Kirkland) will deliver you the food and we'll deliver you the student-athletes. They are a respectful bunch and we haven't had any problems in the past. Let us know how you are willing to help out. We are still looking for a parent to shadow Gess Lim, who manages the booster club finances, and Laarni Power, who manages the team's FaceBook page. Many hands make light work. All Service athletes should be at the Little Gym by 3:30pm to warm up for the 3 km quad race. Athletes with fewer than 10 practices will start at 4:30, boys with more than 10 practices will start at 4:50, and girls with more than 10 practices will start at 5:10 PM. There will be a print out by the service tent listing which race each athlete is entered in Wear your Service training t’s if you have one. (Training t’s will be available for purchase at the race. Only $10 each. Men’s and Women’s sizes.) Go Cougars!!!
