Come on over to Bartlett to cheer for your Service Girls and Boys Teams! Even if you're not racing, team members can ride the bus, which will leave Service at 10:55am.
Championships cost $10/adult and $5/student
Regional Championships are at Bartlett on Saturday! Go Cougars!
All athletes are encouraged to ride the buses, which leave the Service Little Gym at 8:55AM and return to Service at 3:40PM.

Dress in layers and bring warm fluid, water, and a snack or meal. Varsity, racing last, should bring camp chairs.

If you have to drive yourself, please arrive in time for the first race at 11AM to cheer for your teammates. If you are in the first race, arrive no later than 9:30AM and if you are in the second race, arrive no later than 10AM. Take Boniface, access directly from Muldoon won’t be possible.
Athletes should plan to stay for the awards ceremony, starting at 3PM.

Max Romey, artist and alumni of Service XC running and coaching, has created a series of watercolor scenes, exclusively as a fundraiser for our team, that capture the essence of training on the Service trails during XC season. Proceeds go towards purchasing team warm-ups.
Buses leave from the little gym at 8:30 AM. Athletes do not have to ride the bus to attend the meet, however all athletes must arrive to the Service tents at Kincaid by the designated times listed below...
9:00AM- Open athletes arrive for bib hand out and team course walk
10:15AM-JV, V & ineligible athletes arrive for bib handout.
Bring warm clothes, drinks, snacks and homework. Buses should return to Service by 2:20PM.
To order your Service Cross Country tee or hoodie, complete the attached order form and turn it along with payment at practice to Coach Taylor. The deadline to turn in your completed order form with payment is Tuesday, August 24. Gear cannot be ordered without payment.
On Saturday buses leave at 8am from little gym. Masks are required to ride on bus. Parents can transport their own kids to and from the meet. Plan to arrive at 11am. Planned return to little gym at 6:30pm. Make sure you are signed up on Remind for changes to the plan. Bring your own water bottles and $5 for snacks for the return trip to Anchorage.
Friday: Home Meet. Athletes arrive at 3pm. Races start from 4pm to 5:20pm
Monday: meet at Kincaid Chalet at 4:30pm for annual mud run. Athletes and coaches jog down to mud flats, play around in the mud, and do some mud core and plyometrics. Then jog back up to the chalet, eat cookies, drink chocolate milk. Pickup athletes at 6pm at Kincaid Chalet. Bring towels for muddy kids.
Tuesday: 1st day of school! Practice time switches to 2:30pm-4pm

Friday: Due to surging local Covid infection rates, we have to cancel the overnight to Soldotna. Do your part to get this virus under control and go get vaccinated if you haven't already!
Saturday: We will provide buses down and back to Soldotna. All athletes will be required to wear a mask when on the bus. For this meet any parents that want to drive their own, and only their own, children down and back to the meet are permitted to. Those with unvaccinated athletes are encouraged to drive their own children down.
Monday, August 16 is our annual mud run! Please meet at the Kincaid Chalet no later than 4:30 PM. Cookies and hot chocolate to follow at 6:00PM. Bring towels and expect muddy athletes!
Friday's practice (August 6) is the Near Point hike! Drop off athletes at 3:30 PM at the Prospect Heights Trailhead and pick up at 7:30 PM.
Our first practice is July 28th at 4:30pm. We will meet by the little gym behind service high, It is on the opposite side from the swimming pool.
All athletes must receive their 'golden ticket' from the Service High Activities clerk, Chelsea Galloway BEFORE attending a practice. Athletes must be registered and meet all ASD requirements in order to attend the first practice.
Our parent meeting will begin at 4:45pm where we will discuss the season schedule, parent volunteer opportunities, and answer any questions you may have. We look forward to welcoming new families and reconnecting for a fantastic 2021 season.
